Hyaluronic Acid is Liquid Gold. It’s That Good. Period.

Updated: Dec 6, 2021

The title really is all you need to know. If you want to continue to read this blog, that’s your

prerogative. Honestly, I totally understand if you stop here, because you truly already know

what you need to know. Hyaluronic Acid is LIQUID GOLD. That’s it. That’s all folks. For those of

you who want the nitty gritty facts, sprinkled with my personality… keep reading.

I was first introduced to Hyaluronic Acid while taking my Micro-Needling course, as it is the only

product applied throughout the treatment and the only thing I could apply on my face for the

first 24-48 hours after the treatment. Since that day I have NEVER looked back. It honestly was

love at first sight. Hyaluronic Acid is a powerhouse serum that’s become a must have in my

routine (not just after a Micro-Needling treatment!) I have to be honest with you… it was quite

some time into my career as an aesthetician before I really reached this moment of truly

learning about hyaluronic acid. Don’t get me wrong, I’d heard of this serum before, and knew

about some of the benefits of HAs, but I had been exposed to so many products and so many

brands that it took me a while to decipher between serums and find my favorites based on

which benefits they provide. This means somehow Hyaluronic Acid fell through the cracks. After

school, with all my research and additional courses I was in information overload… So, until I

had the chance to personally try the serum and research it on my own time, I truly didn’t know

what I was missing. So, this blog is for those of you who have heard of HAs but haven’t had the

chance to invest in it for yourself! This blog will outline why I highly recommend it, and how I

cannot believe I ignored it for so many years!!! (If I could, I would have about a million

explanation points after that). After reading, there’s no way you’ll be able to ignore this liquid

gold!

The name is scary, but it shouldn’t be! I remember hearing it and thinking “ohhhh dear that sounds intense, like intense enough to peel off my face”. In my mind, I automatically grouped it in with the chemical peels that I had on my list to research and learn more about. Knowing what I know now, the fact that I thought chemical peels and hyaluronic acid were one in the same is beyond embarrassing. Thankfully I now know the difference, and am here to educate you on this incredible serum and hopefully take any fear away from it. I know once you hear acid it’s pretty intimidating, but this serum is seriously anything but scary!

Hyaluronic Acid has some pretty incredible “wow factors,” so hold onto your hats. Firstly,

Hyaluronic Acid is suitable and beneficial for ALL skin types. This is not as common as you would think. This means this serum can be used on ANY skin condition, ANY skin colour, ANY skin concern and benefit EVERYONE - talk about inclusive! It also is fantastic at keeping the skin hydrated and plump because it is 1000x its water weight. When the serum is applied it helps

water bind to molecules and the skin which promotes and maintains skin moisture. When there

is this much moisture in the skin, fine lines and wrinkles are smoothed out and less prominent

to the naked eye. Hydrated skin also leads to healthier, more supple, skin - which means it

prevents premature aging and corrects aging! Hyaluronic Acid is naturally produced by our

bodies, and found mainly in our eyes, skin and connective tissue (another fact that proves ALL

skin types can use and benefit from this serum)! Hyaluronic Acid also helps repair the skin faster, hence why it is used during and after Micro-Needling. It’s super interesting how this

actually works, so read carefully!

The serum regulates inflammation, which helps the body to reduce pain and trauma by sending

more blood cells to the traumatized area. More blood supply means faster healing properties

and good blood circulation, which also leads to the production of new, healthy, cells. Naturally,

Hyaluronic Acid also has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties, which also help speed

up the skin’s healing process. It’s obvious why this is the chosen serum used during micro-

needling, and why it’s suggested for after care. In addition to the hydrating properties, the

healing powers, and the ageless skin look, hyaluronic acid also helps with skin conditions like

rosacea, skin sensitivities, psoriasis and even eczema. How? Simply because of its beautiful

soothing, hydrating, and anti-inflammatory factors.

Like collagen, elastin and all other natural skin power houses, Hyaluronic Acid also deteriorates

as we age and breaks down from external and internal influences (in the skincare world these

factors are referred to as free radicals). In order to keep your skin as healthy as possible, you

must live a healthy life. When you’re living an unhealthy lifestyle, collagen production

diminishes, you lose elasticity and plumpness in your skin, blemishes begin to appear, scaring is

more noticeable, fine lines and wrinkles become more obvious, and lack of moisture in the skin

causes dehydration and flakiness. All of these skin concerns are triggered by both

uncontrollable and controllable factors that are known as free radicals, which are listed below:

- age - stress

-genetics

-smoking

-poor diet

-high consumption of alcohol

-high pollution in the air

-minimal daily water consumption

-high caffeine consumption

-high refined sugar diet

-poor skin routine

-physical movement/activity

-lots of sun exposure

Avoiding all of these free radicals to the best of your ability will help your overall skin health

and will create a long-term skin health plan. In addition to living a healthy lifestyle, using the

right products (like HAs) are also important. Let me share with you when I use my Hyaluronic

Acid serum. I bet you can take an educated guess considering how in love I am with this serum.

I use Hyaluronic Acid... Every. Single. Morning. For those of you curious about how I fit it into

my personal skincare routine, here you go:

My current morning routine...

-Gently dab dry with my Danielle makeup eraser microfiber towel

-Spritz face with Arbonne’s Age Well Toner (or Odacité Rose Neroli Mist)

-PCA Hyaluronic Acid Serum ****

- PCA Vitamin C

- Odacité Eye Gel Roller

So, you’ve heard it all from me… now let’s turn the mic over to some amazing clients of mine

and hear what they have to say about PCA’s Hyaluronic Acid!

“I absolutely love using the hyaluronic acid serum daily! My skin has never felt this smooth and

bright!”- Melissa Siroen

“Danielle from Inspirations Beauty Clinic is amazing. She was able to tell me that my oily skin

was actually because my skin was actually very dry. She recommended Hyaluronic Acid and the

oiliness disappeared within a couple of days. My skin is no longer sore and irritated. I am so

grateful for her expertise and happy with an amazing product” - Karen McKenzie

“Hyaluronic Acid has been a game changer in my skin care routine. The extra hydration makes

my wrinkles almost nonexistent and my skin feels so hydrated. I didn’t realize how much of a

difference it made until I ran out and stopped using it for a couple of months. Highly

recommend!”- Erika Fitchett

Hyaluronic Acid is retailed in the clinic and is used throughout my facial treatments. I personally

use, recommend, and sell PCA’s Hyaluronic Acid, available in store for $150! Come in for a visit,

start using HAs and never look back! Here are the KEY INGREDIENTS that PCA’s Hyaluronic Acid
